She is single :-
When some people speak these words they have some meaningful expressions  on their faces, sometimes they show expressions of pity, sometimes as if  having fun or weighing her character but this status is hardly expressed in a normal way.
          There may be various causes for a lady to be single. She might not have got an appropriate match for herself, she could not have adjusted with her husband and in laws due to  her own faults, beliefs, ideology or the same of the other side or of both the parties, she might be a divorcee or a widow.
            Whatever may be the cause these ladies remain in a period of deep sorrow for some days, some months or some years and during that period the tears do not dry from their eyes, sadness on the face becomes their identity, everybody takes a sigh and tries to console them but some of them laugh at back and blame her to be lethargic, not able to adjust because she wanted to have a comfortable life in her parents' home,  having some affair and many other blames which reach to her ears everyday and tole away her happiness and confidence.  Sometimes in paternal family if there is any dispute, sisters in law and aunties curse her of no cause at the end of their quarrels and praise themselves for getting  beautifully adjusted  in their in laws house.
           Finally the time comes when this lady decides to not tell  anybody about her sorrows and not explaining the blames of anybody and start some earning and  she does her duties well and sometimes much better than others. Her success turns her into a happy, healthy and beautiful person. She meets to everyone with confidence but here again her educated colleagues point fingers to  her when she talks to a male colleague also happily even when they are themselves doing the same.
          Sometimes male members of our society also pay respect to a lady who is with her husband but neither she wears proper clothes nor knows  that while talking to a male what should be the posture of body ,that the things that are to be hidden should not be revealed. But they find it difficult to respect a single lady who is well dressed, well mannered and well managed and sometimes do not help in her work where they were supposed to do thinking that she will not be able to manage without them.
        There are few ladies who may not be so strong that they can overcome their sorrow for the whole life but there are married ladies too who may have this type of nature. So, the single ladies should not be given different treatment in such situation. She also deserves  a good behaviour.
             I would like to say that single ladies who have become successful and useful members of the society or who have fallen in love with somebody or planning to get remarried  or living as a homely lady or has gone into depression because of discouraging behaviour of the society or are not  able to cope up with the situation,  should be taken as normally as any other lady of the society in the same situation. Neither there is need to give some special treatment nor to make things difficult for them. Let her remain as a normal lady not a special one.
       In the end I would like to say happily that at least laborious and independent single ladies are getting recognition and respect and acceptance in our society but I think we should respect those single ladies also  who are doing small jobs or staying at parental home and doing house hold chores that any homely lady does.
